Should Both Parents/Guardians Join or Just One of Us?

While it is always a personal decision, we recommend that both parents/guardians join the PTSA. Why?

Each parent brings a unique perspective, which improves our discussions, problem-solving, and decision-making.
When both parents/guardians are actively involved in the school, it sets a positive example about the importance of involvement in education and community.

What is Givebacks.com?

Givebacks is the North Carolina PTA's management software. All PTA/PTSA’s operating under NCPTA 501c3 status in NC, are required to use it. Givebacks is a trusted organization that prides itself on never selling your information.

During Checkout, I was asked to sign up for "Givebacks Shop to Give Program." Should I?

It's entirely up to you. This program is separate from joining the PTSA, but can provide us with additional revenue.

Here's how it works: When you make purchases at participating retailers, those stores will donate a percentage of the sale to your chosen charity (e.g. our PTSA). You can learn more here.
